Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal will hold a meeting in the national capital on Tuesday to discuss the results of the Delhi assembly elections with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and state party MLAs. Party sources gave this information on Monday.
This meeting is being held two days after the defeat of AAP in Delhi. The Bharatiya Janata Party is going to form the government in Delhi after almost 27 years.
In the election held on February 5 for the 70 assembly seat of Delhi, BJP won 48 seats, while ‘AAP’ was reduced to 22 and the Congress could not win a single seat.
Prior to the election, the entire Punjab unit of ‘AAP’, including Chief Minister Mann, Cabinet Ministers, MPs and MLAs, conducted aggressive campaigns for party candidates in Delhi.
Mann, the party’s star campaigner, did a road show in Delhi to seek votes for ‘AAP’ candidates.
‘AAP’ formed the government in 2022 by winning 92 seats in 177 seats of Punjab Assembly.
