Mumbai, 11 February (IANS). A 64 -year -old elderly woman was brutally murdered in Bandra area of Mumbai. The deceased has been identified as line Khonde. The incident was reported to the Mumbai Police Control Room on Tuesday morning, soon after which Bandra Police Station was informed.
As soon as the information was received, the police rushed to the spot and saw that the woman’s hand was tied and her neck was attacked with a sharp-edged weapon. The purpose of the murder was not yet clear. Police have taken the body and sent them to the hospital for postmortem.
In this case, the Bandra police registered a case of murder against the unknown accused and started investigation. During the investigation, the police have taken the accused of murder of the woman into custody and she is being questioned.
The police is now trying to find out what was the motive behind the murder and whether any other crime was committed with the woman. The police have not ruled out the possibility of rape in view of the woman being tied and the brutality of murder. However, the post -mortem report is awaited to confirm this.
During interrogation, the police is trying to find out from the accused, whether he was alone or anyone else is involved in it. CCTV footage installed in the area is also being investigated so that more information can be found about the incident. The police is investigating the case with every angle and the real reason behind the murder is likely to be revealed soon.
Police officials say that something can be said only after investigation in this case. The investigation of the case has been started.
