Railways appealed to devotees
The railway has appealed to the devotees to exercise restraint in the midst of crowds gathered at railway stations to reach Mahakumbh. Railways clarified that Prayagraj Sangam station remains closed only two days before bathing and two days after bathing, so no rumor needs to be noted. Mahakumbh special trains are being run from all the stations of Bhopal Railway Division, from which one and a quarter lakh passengers have been traveling so far. The facility to reach the ghats is running a train from all the stations of the board every four minutes, so that the devotees do not have to wait for the holy bath.
At a time, a special train (Mahakumbh Special Train) takes 3780 passengers from Bhopal and nearby stations. At stations like Prayagraj Junction, Chhiwki, Naini, Subedarganj, Prayag, Phaphamau, Rambagh and Jhunsi, passengers are being allowed to reach the ghats for holy baths. Passengers can use railway helpline 139 and online facilities for more information.
