Social media Influencer Ranveer Allahabadia filed a petition in the Supreme Court on Friday in the case of prosecutors filed against indecent remarks allegedly made during an event on YouTube.
A bench of Chief Justice Sanjeev Khanna and Justice Sanjay Kumar looked at the arguments of advocate Abhinav Chandrachud, appearing for the influencer and said that the petition would be listed in two-three days. Chandrachud demanded an immediate hearing on the basis that Allahabadia was summoned by the Assam Police today.
The objectionable comments of Ranveer Allahabadia about parents and sexual relations are being criticized on a large scale. In this connection, several complaints were filed against Allahabadia and others at many places across the country.
Earlier yesterday, media influencer Ranveer Allahabadia was asked to be present at the Khar police station on Friday after not appearing in connection with the investigation of the case related to the controversial comment on a YouTube show. An official gave this information.
The Maharashtra Cyber Cell and the Mumbai Police have also asked Raina to appear in the next five days. Raina is associated with the controversial reality show ‘India’s Got Latent’.
An official said that Allahabadia was supposed to appear at the Khar police station on Thursday but he did not come and told the police that he was afraid of the media.
