In Indore, Indore, the country’s cleanest city, yoga was done in a dry drain on Monday as part of a unique program to convey the message of pollution free. Along with the mayors of two cities, locals also attended this program.
Officials said that the Indore Municipal Corporation has cleaned a drain in the Panchkuiyan area of the city and the surrounding ghats have been built nearby. He told that at present, this drain is drought, on which yoga was done by laying a carriage.
During the yoga program, Mayor of Indore Pushyamitra Bhargava said, “When the Sirpur pond of the city is full in the rain, its additional water flows from this drain and gets it in the Kanh River. In the past years, this drain was badly polluted which we have cleaned so that clean water flows in the rainy season. “
He told that a ‘stop dam’ is also being made on the route of this drain so that silt and other dirt will already stop.
Bhargava also stated that four of the five wells located near an ancient temple in the Panchkuyan area have been cleaned while the fifth well is being cleaned.
Rani Aggarwal, the Mayor of Singrauli city of the state also attended the yoga program in the drain.
He said, “After the drain was cleaned, it was very unique to organize a yoga program in it. We will learn the innovation of cleanliness from Indore so that they can repeat them in Singrauli.
Indore has topped the National Cleanliness Survey seven times in a row. This city, which is called the economic capital of Madhya Pradesh, is in the race for “Super Clean League” in the Cleanliness Survey of 2024. The league has been introduced for the first time for a separate competition between cities who excelled in cleanliness.
In “Super Clean League”, Indore is placed in the category of cities with a population of more than 1 million with Navi Mumbai and Surat.
