Meeting with farmer organizations in Chandigarh ends.

The meeting between the central government and the farmer organizations in Chandigarh is over. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan also attended this meeting. Apart from this, Union Ministers Piyush Goyal and Prahlad Joshi were also present in this meeting with farmer leaders. It was expected that in this meeting, farmers’ organizations would agree with the government. However, now the next meeting with the Center of farmer organizations will be held on March 19. The last meeting was also held in Chandigarh, after which farmer leader Dallawal had said that a good meeting has been held and he was eagerly waiting for this meeting.

Meeting held in Chandigarh

Please tell that there was a meeting between the protesting farmers and the Center on Saturday evening. It discussed several demands including legal guarantee of minimum support price (MSP) of crops. This meeting between the central team and farmer leaders was held at the Mahatma Gandhi Public Administration Institute of Chandigarh. Earlier, in a meeting held on February 14, Union Minister Prahlad Joshi had said that Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan will lead the central team for a meeting with the protesting farmers on 22 February.

Pandher expected the government

Before the meeting, farmer leader Saravan Singh Pandher said on Saturday that the delegation of the United Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha will participate in the meeting with positive thinking. He said that farmers hope that the government will resolve their issues as soon as possible. The farmers had demanded to hold the next meeting in Delhi, but the government asked to hold it in Chandigarh. Farmer leaders said that a 28 -member delegation of farmers will firmly put its side in the meeting. He said that agitation has been going on for the last one year on various demands including legal guarantee on MSP.
