He said, “These figures are very serious and we force everyone to think why this is happening?”
The Prime Minister said that excess weight or obesity also gives rise to many problems, diseases, but all together can deal with this challenge with small efforts.
He suggested the method, “A reduction of 10 percent of the food oil.” You decide that 10 percent less oil will be used every month. You can decide that the oil that is purchased to eat, will now buy 10 percent less while purchasing.
Modi cut oil consumption by 10 percent and said that he should request 10 people to do so and then they should challenge 10 other 10 people to do so.
The Prime Minister also narrated audio messages of some other celebrities including Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra and boxing player Nikhat Zarine and urged people to take measures to reduce or stop obesity.
He said, “The low use of oil in food and dealing with matpea is not only a personal choice but also our responsibility towards the family. Excessive use of oil in food can cause a lot of diseases like heart diseases, diabetes and excessive stress. By making small changes in our food, we can make our future strong, healthy and disease-free. ”
