A new update for passengers has been released by Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA). It is said that Terminal 2 (T2) will be closed for about four to five months. It has been said that according to the Airport Operator Dial, this information has been given.
Update has been released regarding upgrade
It has been said by Dial that this decision has been taken due to the ongoing upgrade. Terminal 2 of the airport will be closed for about 4 to 5 months. The terminal is being expanded to increase capacity. During this time a runway will be closed for upgrade. Apart from this, Dial has also announced that Terminal 3 (T3) which is currently used only for domestic passengers will be expanded to international travelers.
The passengers’ capacity through T3 will be up to 32 million passengers. One of its runways will be upgraded by the airport from the Instrument Landing System (ILS). Due to low visibility, the aircraft has to face a lot of difficulty, which requires a solution.
