Kolkata. After heating the politics, now Kolkata Municipal Corporation ie KMC has ordered the release of holidays in its schools. There was an uproar after the release of the leave from the signature of the Chief Manager of the Education Department of KMC. Actually, in the order of Kolkata Municipal Corporation, it was told that Vishwakarma Puja will not be a holiday. Instead, Eid holiday was said to be done for two days. This notice was issued on 25 February. In the notice, the Mamta government and her minister Firhad Hakim started to be targeted on extending Eid holiday by cutting Vishwakarma Pooja holiday. The BJP called it a Muslim appeasement.
Now KMC has issued a new order saying that the notice issued earlier was the fault of the typo. The answer has also been summoned from the responsible officer in this case. The release issued by the Kolkata Municipal Corporation for the media states that the earlier order was issued without the approval of the competent authority. Action has also been said against the officer responsible for this lapse. KMC has said that the West Bengal government will issue the revised order in the coming time, maintaining the holiday list as per the current criteria. In the first holiday notice, it was written that Vishwakarma Puja will not be a holiday in KMC schools on 17 September. At the same time, the April 31 and April 1 holiday for Eid was announced.
After canceling the leave notice on behalf of KMC, now the West Bengal BJP has said that the fresh step has been taken only after raising the issue. BJP general secretary Jagannath Chatterjee has said that it is not believed that the KMC officer did not know about stopping Vishwakarma Puja holiday and increasing Eid holiday. He said that KMC is responsible for Mamata Banerjee’s Firhad Hakim. The BJP leader said that we want to know from whom the officer of the Education Department got an order to issue such an order. Because no officer of Bengal can do this himself.
