New Delhi. The Allahabad High Court has refused to allow the dyeing in the royal Jama Masjid located in Sambhal. However, the court has not stopped the cleanliness of the mosque. The court says that cleanliness can be done under the supervision of ASI. A petition was filed in the High Court by the Masjid Committee. In this petition, permission was sought to be painted in the royal Jama Masjid before the month of Ramadan. While hearing the petition, the High Court Judge had sought a report from the ASI whether it needed painting in the mosque.
Following the High Court order, a three -member team of ASI reached Sambhal on Thursday. After this, the ASI team surveyed the royal Jama Masjid. Today the survey report was filed in the court. According to the report, there is no need for dyeing painting in the mosque. Based on the ASI report, the Allahabad High Court did not allow the dyeing painting. The decision was given by a single bench of Justice Rohit Ranjan Aggarwal. The judge has given the mosque committee time till Tuesday 4 March to register a response to the ASI report.
Let us tell you that there is a dispute about this royal Jama Masjid of Sambhal. A petition was filed in the court of Sambhal last year on behalf of the Hindu side, saying that Jama Masjid was a Harihar temple in the east. Later, the Mughal ruler broke the temple and built the mosque. On the petition, the Sambhal court ordered the ASI survey of Jama Masjid. When the ASI team reached for the survey on 24 November, the people there protested and the violence erupted on seeing it. 4 people were killed in this violence while more than 30 policemen were injured.
