New Delhi. After March 31 at any petrol pump in Delhi, vehicles older than 15 years old will not get fuel. This announcement has been made by Delhi Government Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa. Sirsa held a three -hour marathon meeting with Delhi government officials to prepare an action plan with a view to reducing air pollution in the national capital and improving air quality in which several important decisions were taken. Sirsa said that such gadgets are being installed at the petrol pump, which will identify the 15 -year -old vehicles and will not be given petrol or diesel.

According to the Environment Minister, about 80 percent of petrol pumps have been installed gadgets and by March 31, 100 percent petrol pumps will be installed. The Delhi government will inform petrol pump owners through the Petroleum Ministry that they cannot give petrol or diesel to such vehicles. At the same time, a team is being formed to identify the 15 -year -old vehicles in Delhi. This team will also work to exclude such vehicles from Delhi. Apart from this, we will also add to the students of Delhi University with us in the plantation drive and for this they will be given any certificate or numbers which can be useful for them. Apart from this, big organizenses like airports, big hotels, big complexes are also going to be necessary in Delhi to take necessary steps to prevent pollution.
Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that the biggest issue in Delhi is pollution, both wind and water are contaminated. The main conclusion was that the previous government did not take any step to reduce pollution in Delhi, whether it is air pollution or water pollution. The money allocated for this purpose has never been used by the AAP government and thousands of crores of rupees have not been spent.
