Mumbai, March 1 (IANS). Mahindra & Mahindra said on Saturday that the company’s total auto sales have increased by 15 percent to 83,702 units (including exports) in February.
The company said that last month the company has sold 50,240 SUVs in the domestic market. It has increased by 19 percent. At the same time, the total sales including exports have been 52,386 units. Commercial sales in the domestic market have been at 23,826 units.
Vijay Nakra, president of M&M’s Automotive Division, said that SUV sales have increased by 19 percent to 50,420 units in February. At the same time, sales of all types of vehicles have increased by 15 percent to 83,702 units. This strong performance shows the positive atmosphere created for our SUV portfolio.
The sale of Mahindra & Mahindra tractors has also seen a surge in February.
In February 2025 domestically, tractor sales were 23,880 units, which were 20,121 units in February 2024.
The company exported 1,647 tractors in February 2025, causing a total tractor sales of 25,527 units, which were 21,672 units in the same period last year.
Hemant Sikka, president of the Farm Equipment Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra, said that we have sold 23,880 tractors in the domestic market in February 2025, which is 19 percent more than the previous year.
The reason for this is the good of kharif crops and outlook positive for rabi crops.
He further said that the increase in Agri Credit Limit by the government will help in increasing the income of farmers. At the same time, the demand for tractors from bumper rabi crop is likely to be strong. We have exported 1,647 tractors, which is 6 percent more than the previous year.
