Hathras, 2 March (IANS). A complaint of defamation was filed regarding a statement given by the Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi on the Hathras case. The statement of the complainant was recorded in Hathras court on Saturday. The next hearing of the case will be held on 24 March.
Advocate Munna Singh Pundir said, “We have filed three complaints regarding Rahul Gandhi. It has one Ram Kumar, the second Luv Kush and the third of Ravi. Saturday’s date was of Ram Kumar’s case. It recorded Ram Kumar’s statement. The court has put a further date in it on 24 March.”
He said that “despite the boys being acquitted, Rahul Gandhi wrote on the social media platform ‘X’ that the rapists are roaming out. Despite knowing Rahul Gandhi that the three boys have been acquitted from the allegations, he gave this statement, for which he received the notice.”
Let me tell you that the case of alleged gang rape of Hathras had become a major political issue across the country, which was investigated by the major agencies of the country like SIT, CBI etc. After the CBI submitted a 3,200 -page report in the court, the court acquitted the four accused of gang rape. But then on the last year, on December 12, Rahul Gandhi reached the victim’s house in the Chandpa Kotwali area of Hathras and then wrote on his ‘X’ that keeping the family of the rape victim locked in the house and openly roaming the gang rape accused is against Baba Saheb’s constitution.
Regarding this, Ravi Kumar alias Ramu, Lavkush and Ravi have sent a notice of 1.5 crore to Rahul Gandhi by advocate Munna Singh. The notice has demanded fifty-fifty lakh rupees for the three. Advocate said that the three boys are living a better life in the society, the court has acquitted them by freeing them. The court has not considered it a rape case, but under dirty politics, the post on ‘X’ is being stained again in their lives.
