DK Shivkumar
Udupi (Karnataka): Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar broke the silence today, stopping all the political speculation in Karnataka. He said that he is a loyal worker of the Congress and if someone questions his loyalty towards the party and the Gandhi family, he is in confusion. He also said that the party will return to power in the 2028 assembly elections in the state.
Shivkumar recently reacted to his meeting with the party’s central leaders in Delhi and at the end of this year, giving his feedback about political circles, especially in the ruling party, regarding the change in the post of Chief Minister.
I did not put any condition
Shivkumar said, “I have not laid down any condition and there is no need to have any condition. I am an worker, the party says, I work accordingly. Keeping or blackmailing the conditions is not in my blood. I am a loyal worker of the Congress. ”Shivkumar said this in response to a question asked about his visit to Delhi visit and party leaders.
Congress party will return to power
In a conversation with reporters here, he said, “If anyone, whether it is from any party, my loyalty to the Congress party and the Gandhi family, then it is his illusion.” Asked if the speculation about the ‘formula’ of two and a half years of power sharing is false, Shivkumar said only, “I can only say this,” I can only say this in 2028. The Congress party will return to power. ‘
Shivkumar is a strong contender for the post of Chief Minister
Congress state chief Shivkumar is a strong contender for the post of Chief Minister and he has not hidden his ambition from this post from anyone. After the declaration of the assembly election results in May 2023, there was a tough competition between Siddaramaiah and Shivkumar for the post of Chief Minister and the Congress managed to convince Shivkumar and made him Deputy Chief Minister. At that time there were some reports that Shivkumar would become the Chief Minister after two and a half years under the agreement, but the party did not officially confirm this. (input language)
