Mandi, March 2 (IANS). Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri on Sunday made it clear that the temples will never be taken from the temples to run the government. He dismissed the allegations of Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Jairam Thakur and said that the BJP should play the role of a positive opposition.
Mukesh Agnihotri said, “Jairam Thakur should play the role of creative opposition as the Leader of Opposition and should stop jumping.”
He alleged that some people try to show any issue out of reality. The Congress government of Himachal Pradesh has neither taken money from any temple so far nor is it going to take any money to run the government from temples in future. He said, “Our friends (Jairam Thakur) keep trying to make anything an issue. Whenever the budget session comes, he does so. Last time he said that God cannot save the Congress government. But despite that our government is in the state and has completed its two years.”
He said that rules have already been made by the court regarding the money of temples. Therefore Jairam Thakur should not say “without meaning”. Mukesh Agnihotri said that the temples of Himachal Pradesh are the places of faith for all the people and the state government has nothing to do with the money of temples.
Mukesh Agnihotri said, “I want to say to Jairam ji that it would be better to play the role of a creative opposition, work in the interest of the state, this government is not going to get their hands. Nothing will be done by making excessive jumping.”
The deputy CM said that when we go to bathe in Mahakumbh, they feel that taking bath in Mahakumbh is their monopoly. Ever since we went to bathe in Mahakumbh, they do not know what is the problem that these people are engaged in surrounding us. He is saying that we did not go cleanly and our heart is not clear.
He targeted, “Are your hearts more clear? Are you very close to God? We also go to some temple every day. We take the blessings of Mata Rani from morning to evening.”
