Women and loans
In the year 2024, women have surpassed men in terms of growth of active boroors. This information was given in a report released on Thursday by a credit information company. In the report before International Women’s Day, CRIF High Mark said that women have performed better than men even in better repair of loans. The report says that the number of women boroors with active loans increased by 10.8 percent to 8.3 crore by December 2024. This is higher than the 6.5 percent increase in men’s case.
Women better than men in terms of loans
According to the report, women are doing better than men in terms of loans. Women are showing better boring behavior in most loan products except loans and debt on two -wheelers in exchange for gold. The report said that during January-December 2024, there was a significant improvement in women’s behavior in home loans, business loans, agriculture and tractor loans, property loans and education loans. Women unlike men have also shown improvement in terms of durable consumer loans.
Banks are comfortable in giving loans to women
According to the report, government lenders showed more ease in giving loans to women in 2024. In the end of 2024, the outstanding portfolio of women borrowers increased by 18 percent to Rs 36.5 lakh crore. While the number of borrowers remained stable at around 24 percent. The report states that female borrowers of 35 years or less represents the highest stake in the amount of debt origin. The share of women in debt origin has increased to 43.8 percent. At the state level, Maharashtra home loan, business loans, property loans, auto loans, credit cards and education loans topped.
