Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated ‘Nari Shakti’ on International Women’s Day on Saturday and reiterated his government’s commitment to women’s empowerment through various schemes and programs.
Prime Minister Modi also reiterated that women who have achieved achievements in different areas will handle their social media account for a day.
Prime Minister Modi said in a post on ‘X’, “We salute our women power on Women’s Day! Our government has always worked to empower women and it is reflected in our plans and programs. Today, as promised, my social media account will be handled by women who are making their identity in diverse fields. ”

This is not the first time that successful women from different regions will handle the Prime Minister’s social media account. Earlier in 2020, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, Modi’s social media account was handled by seven women.
