Fans celebrating the victory of Indian cricket team
The Indian cricket team won the Champions Trophy 2025 and won the second consecutive ICC tournament. As soon as the Indian team won the T20 World Cup under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma in 2024, fans drowned in celebrations. The Indian players were celebrating the victory inside the ground in Dubai and crores of Indian fans were expressing their happiness over the team becoming the champion of the team thousands of kilometers away from there.
India has won the Champions Trophy after 12 years. Earlier, Team India has won the tournament in 2002 and 2013. In 2002, hosts became Sri Lanka and India joint champions, as the final match could not be completed due to rain. After this, in 2013, Team India, led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, defeated England in the final and won the tournament. Now India has won the tournament for the third time under Rohit’s captaincy.
Fans celebrated with fireworks
Ravindra Jadeja won India by hitting a ball of Kiwi fast bowler William Aurki. With the victory of Team India, fans also started celebrating in India. Firecrackers were burnt all over the country and there was fierce fireworks. Fans came out of their homes and came to the streets and celebrated together. During this time people praised their favorite players. Slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai were also raised.
Second ICC Trophy won within a year
The Indian team has named the ICC Trophy for the second time within a year. In the month of June last year, Team India defeated South Africa by seven runs in the final of the T20 World Cup and became the third team to win the T20 World Cup twice. Earlier in 2007, India won the T20 world tax. Apart from India, West Indies and England are twice the T20 World Cup winning teams. The special thing is that after winning the Champions Trophy in 2013, the Indian team came close to winning the ICC Trophy many times, but did not succeed. Now India has won two ICC Trophy within a year under Rohit’s captaincy.
