New Delhi, 13 March (IANS). Kala Dhatura, which is considered an important medicinal plant in Ayurveda, is now proving beneficial in scientific research. Although it is considered poisonous, it can be used in the treatment of many diseases in controlled amounts and correctly.
Research by Research Journal of Pharmacology and Pharmacology (RJPPD) found that black dhatura has anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and analgesic (pain reliever) properties, which can be helpful in treating various diseases. According to research, black dhatura seeds and leaves smoke can give relief in respiratory problems such as asthma (asthma) and bronchitis.
The natural ingredients present in it can be helpful in relieving problems like headache, joint pain and arthritis. In traditional medicine, it is used to treat boils, itching and skin infections. Research also found that it has anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties, which can be beneficial in skin diseases.
Some elements of black dhatura help to relax muscles and reduce cramps. In Ayurveda, it has been used to improve digestion, reduce fever and prevent infectious diseases.
According to RJPPD’s research, the taste of dhatura leaves is bitter and has the same smell as the seeds of Dhatura. It is also used as anodine and antispasmodic. This plant is spicy, intoxicating, pain reliever, anti-cramps, intoxicating and vomiting. It is beneficial in many types of diseases. It is recommended to use asthma, cough, fever, inflammation, nerves, madness, muscle pain, hyperseas, ulcers, kidney pain and its use in stones. Its roots are used on the bite of crazy dogs.
The leaves are used in inflammation and hemorrhoids, and their juices are applied externally for the treatment of lice and skin diseases. The leaves are used in katwat, sciatica, vein pain, gorge and painful inflammation.
Researchers have also warned that excessive intake of black dhatura can be poisonous and some of its chemical elements can affect the nervous system. According to experts, it can also cause hallucinations, vomiting, heart rate disturbances and death in severe cases by incorrect consumption. Therefore, it should be used only under the supervision of Ayurvedic specialist or doctor.
Black dhatura is a medicinal plant, which has many health benefits, but it is very important to use the right amount and carefully. Scientific research is also recognizing its medicinal capacity, but its side effects cannot be ignored.
