Two kg of hemp seized from polytechnic hostel in Kochi
Kochi: 2 kg of cannabis was seized from the Boys Hostel of Government Polytechnic College, Kalmassery, Kerala. The police gave this information on Friday. Police officials said three students were arrested in the raid on Thursday night. According to police, two students were released on bail from the police station, while a separate FIR was registered against 21 -year -old Akash, a resident of Kulathupuzha in Kollam. Authorities recovered 1.909 kg of cannabis from this student’s room.
Hemp was kept for sales and personal use
Police said the second FIR includes two other students- Adityan (21), resident of Haripad of Alappuzha and Abhiraj (21), resident of Kollam, Kollam, who recovered 9.70 grams of hemp. Police officials said they had got bail from the police station. According to police, it was for both restricted goods sales and personal use. ACP P.V. Baby said that the police raided the campus on the basis of secret information about the accumulation of huge amount of hemp in the campus before the Holi ceremony.
Left -wing student organization accused

He accused the leftist student organization of helping to supply drugs in college hostels and premises.
Accused student has contested the student union under the banner of KSU
SFI Kalamssery region president Devarajan told the media, “The arrested students Akash and two others who fled from the campus during the search are active members of the Kerala Students Union (KSU).” He urged to investigate the two students who ran away, because one of them contested the student union under the KSU banner. KSU is the student branch of Congress. Abhiraj, who was released on bail from the police station, also claimed that he was being targeted incorrectly in this case.
