Kannada actress Ranya Rao
Kannada actress Ranya Rao has written a letter to Additional Director General of Police (ADG DRI) of Revenue Intelligence Directorate from Jail. Actress Rao has accused of implicating and torturing in a false case. This letter has been written from jail on 6 March. However, during the hearing on remand on 7 March, Ranya, who was present in the court, has not repeated anything written in the letter. Nor did Ranya’s lawyer mention any such thing during the remand hearing or during the hearing on the Bell application.
Forcible sign in empty pages
In this letter, Ranya Rao said that she has not smuggled gold. He was taken from inside the flight without telling anything and then implicated in this case. He was then assaulted. More than 40 typed pages and some empty pages have been forcibly signed.
Father threatened to implicate in the case
Ranya told in his letter that DRI official threatened that if he does not sign, the father’s name will also be linked to this case. Ranya alleged that after arresting on the evening of March 3, he was not allowed to sleep the next day until he was presented to the judge.
He was implicated to save another passenger
In this letter, Ranya alleged that an officer from Delhi implicated him to save another passenger.
Rao’s bail plea rejected
Explain that a special court related to economic crimes dismissed the bail plea of Kannada actress Ranya Rao, accused of gold smuggling. Tarun Raju, the second accused in the case, has been sent to judicial custody for 15 days until the investigation continues. DGP rank officer K.K. Ramchandra Rao’s half -daughter Ranya is currently lodged in Parappana Aghara Jail here.

The Revenue Intelligence Directorate (DRI) seized gold rods worth Rs 12.56 crore from Ranya at Camemegowda International Airport here on March 3. Officials had said that later gold jewelery worth Rs 2.06 crore and Rs 2.67 crore was also recovered from his residence.
