Good news for Delhiites! Soon a new highway route is about to open, so that the Delhi border will be reached in just 10 minutes. This new route will not only intensify the journey, but will also save fuel and time. The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has almost completed the construction of this route, which will benefit many cities of Delhi-NCR.
Passengers of Baghpat and Muzaffarnagar will get benefit
Till now, people going to Baghpat and Muzaffarnagar used to take more than half an hour to reach the Loni border, but this distance will be completed in just 10 minutes due to the opening of the new highway. With this, passengers will be able to travel further easily and the traffic problem will also be reduced.
212 km long highway
➡️ Delhi-Dehradun highway is 212 km long and it will go from Akshardham to Khekra, Shamli and Saharanpur to Dehradun.
➡️ The first 31.6 km part (from Akshardham to EPE Crossing, Khekra) is almost complete.
➡️ 18 km elevated highway has been built, which will make a fast journey possible while avoiding traffic.
➡️ 6-lane highway along with 6-lane service road has also been prepared, which will also facilitate local traffic.
Highway will be completed by March 2025
According to NHAI, the Delhi-Dehradun highway will be fully ready by March 2025. The trial run has been successful, and the final finishing work has also been completed.
Large relief to passengers
The journey of passengers going from Delhi to Ghaziabad, Loni and Baghpat will be easy. Passengers of Sonia Vihar, Karawal Nagar and Yamuna Pushta will also benefit. Adding direct expressway to Akshardham will reduce traffic and save time.
Highway being built at a cost of Rs 12,000 crore

The first and second phase from Akshardham to EPE Junction (Khekra) has been completed.
According to NHAI, the work of the remaining parts will also be completed by 2025.
