Bhubaneswar, 18 March (IANS). Odisha Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kamabhapati along with the first woman Jayashree Kamabhapati went to the house of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday and expressed condolences on the death of his father Devendra Pradhan.
Senior politician and former Union Minister Devendra Pradhan was a respected person who was known for his life dedication and strong ideological commitment to public service. When the news of Devendra Pradhan’s death came, Governor Kamabhapati was out of Odisha. On returning from his tour, he immediately went to Dharmendra Pradhan’s residence to express condolences.
Recalling his association with the late leader, Dr. Kamabhapati said, “Devendra Pradhan was a person devoted to his ideology and he spent his life fighting for the interests of the people. Touched the journey. ”
He further said, “I later met him when he was a Union Minister of State for Agriculture during the government of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and he was always committed to his ideology.”
The Governor’s visit was a sign of solidarity and respect for the late leader, which shows the deep personal and professional relationships shared between them over the years.
He wrote on the social media platform X, “The father of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan went to his residence to express his heartfelt condolences on the death of former Union Minister Devendra Pradhan. I expressed deep grief over his death and prayed to give strength and consolation to the bereaved family in this difficult time.”
