Kotputli-Bahrod. Additional District Collector Omprakash Saharan on Wednesday inspected the agricultural produce market and Kotputli Purchase-sale Cooperative Society and reviewed the preparations for the purchase on the support price (MSP). He instructed the officers to check the status of weighing machine, gunny, moisture measuring device and storage system that all facilities for the farmers should be tightened.
It is worth noting that mustard and gram will be procured in the district from April 1 to June 30, whose support price has been fixed at ₹ 5950 and ₹ 5650 per quintal respectively.
During the inspection, the ADM instructed the farmers not to allow any inconvenience to be allowed to keep drinking water, seating places and sanitation in the mandi. Also, after checking the quality of wheat and rice being used in mid-day meal, instructions were also given for proper storage. He gave strict instructions to the officials to maintain complete transparency in the procurement process, so that the farmers do not have to face any kind of trouble.
