Finally 13 months later, Shambhu Khanouri border was evacuated. Bulldozers have been acted upon earlier on the peasant movement. The Punjab and Haryana Police jointly took strict action and evacuated the border. Last evening, the Punjab Police detained 200 farmers sitting on a dharna on the border. After this, the Haryana Police used a bulldozer to end the protests of the farmers at the same place from where it started.

To prevent the movement from moving forward, the concrete barricades installed on the Shambhu border at Haryana-Punjab have been removed. Bulldozers were used for this. Thus, Punjab farmers’ protests ended for 13 months on the Shambhu Khanouri border, but a lot happened in these 13 months. The farmers put their demands loudly before the government, but the result was zero. Hunger strike, fast, lathicharge also took place, but the demands were not met.

Congress leader Randeep Surjewala has reacted to the action taken by the Haryana-Punjab Police against the farmers protesting on the Shambhu Khanouri border. He said that today the biggest betrayal in the history of India is with farmers, poor and laborers. This fraud was done jointly by the BJP -led Central Government and the AAP government of Punjab. The farmers were not called for individual demands, but for the guarantee of the MSP for the crops for a nationwide dharna-demonstration. As soon as they came out after discussing with the representatives of the Central Government, they were arrested, they were lathi -charged and their tents were broken. In this case that has been demolished by the joint efforts of Punjab and Central Government, the question is why all this is happening?
