The IT rules, 2021, puts special obligations on online gaming intermediaries including other intermediaries, social media intermediaries or platforms regarding the online game.

The Union Minister told the Lok Sabha that such intermediaries should not host, store or publish any information that violates any law.

According to the Union Minister, he is also obliged to ensure his accountability, including his immediate action towards removing illegal information classified under IT Rules, 2021.

Apart from this, immediate action will be taken against any information related to harmful, money laundering or gambling for children.
