It is believed that by doing this, Shiva’s immense grace is raised and suffering troubles are removed, there is a huge crowd of devotees in Shiva temples on Pradosh fast. According to the Hindu calendar, the month of Chaitra is going on and the Pradosh fast that falls this month will be done on Thursday, 27 March.
It is being known as Guru Pradosh due to Pradosh fast on Thursday. On this day there are some things that should not be done by mistake or else Lord Shiva can be angry.
Auspicious time of worship –
According to the Hindu calendar, the Trayodashi date of Krishna Paksha of Chaitra month begins at 1:42 pm on 26 March, while this date will conclude on March 27 at 11:3 pm. In such a situation, Pradosh fast will be observed on Thursday 27 March. It is considered auspicious to worship Shiva during Pradosh fast.
Therefore, on March 27, the auspicious time of worship of Pradosh Vrat will start from 6.35 am in the evening. This Muhurta will be at 8.57 am. On this day, the auspicious time of worship is 2 hours and 21 minutes in total. In this Muhurta, Shiva Sadhana provides good fruit.
Do not do these things in Pradosh fast
Let us tell you that even after forgetting this day, the fast should not consume salt. Consuming salt on this day is considered taboo. Apart from this, tamasic foods like meat, alcohol and garlic onion should also be avoided. Avoid lying on the day of Pradosh fast. No one should say abusive on this day. Nor should anyone bring bad thoughts towards anyone. Do not insult anyone on this day. Shiva is angry with doing this.
