Police arrested fake IPS.
Faridabad: Faridabad police of Haryana arrested a fake IPS. The arrested man was an employee working in a private company in Noida. The man had demanded an escort vehicle from the police department, calling himself an officer of the Indian Police Service (IPS). The police arrested the man later. Police said that the person was arrested and produced in the city court, from where he has been sent to judicial custody.
The person called and called the police
Police said that on Wednesday night, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Faridabad) informed the SHO of Palla police station that they had received a call, in which the caller has described himself as DCP Surendra Chaudhary of South Delhi. Police said that the caller said that he has to come to Faridabad and he does not know the way, so he needs a police escort vehicle immediately to reach the right place. It said that after this the SHO approached the given mobile number and reached the Delhi border, where after waiting for a while, he met a person who described himself as DCP of South Delhi.
Man arrested police
Police said that he was taken in a car and taken towards Faridabad. When the alleged DCP of South Delhi was asked about his destination, he asked the SHO to leave Noida back. According to the police, after this it was found that the person is a fake IPS officer. According to the police, the accused has been identified as Gaurav Sharma, who lives in Mehrauli, Delhi. This person works in a private company in Noida. A police spokesman said, “During interrogation, the accused revealed that he had obtained phone numbers from DCP South Delhi and DCP Central Faridabad through internet. (Input-PTI)
