Ahmedabad: Many senior Congress leaders including Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi will participate in the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting here on 8 April. Shakti Singh Gohil, president of the Gujarat unit of Congress, gave this information on Friday. Gohil said that after the CWC meeting, April 9 will be a session of the All India Congress Committee (AICC).
All the CMs of Congress will also be present
He informed that the meeting of CWC, the highest organization taking the Congress, will be held on April 8 at 11:30 am in the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Memorial Complex in Shahibagh area. Gohil said, “The meeting will include many prominent leaders including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and party president Mallikarjun Kharge. The Chief Minister of Congress ruled states and state presidents of the party will also attend this meeting. ‘
There will be 3,000 delegates from across the country
Prior to the Lok Sabha elections, the CWC met at this place in 2019. Gohil said that after the April 8 meeting, party leaders will go to the Sabarmati Ashram in the evening to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and attend the prayer meeting. He informed that the next day, the AICC session on Sabarmati Riverfront will include around 3,000 delegates from across the country. (With language inputs)
