Uttar Pradesh has become the first state in India to take important steps towards adopting the ‘Agriivolteyik’ project.
The Department of Economic Affairs of the Ministry of Finance has approved the technical assistance of the state government titled “Demonstration of Agrivoltek projects in Uttar Pradesh”.
According to a statement, under this project, solar energy is also produced along with agricultural production on the same land. The land available in Uttar Pradesh is limited, so this innovation will prove to be beneficial for both farmers and economy. This will give additional income to the farmers, increase energy production and will boost sustainable development.
