Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday questioned why India is behind Bangladesh in readymade costume exports despite such a large population. He was speaking at the investor conference organized for the establishment of a textile park under the PM Mitra Yojana here. Adityanath said that if Bangladesh with a population of 16 crores can go ahead in readymade apparel exports, then why can India not achieve such success with a population of 140 crores? Referring to the possibilities in the readymade apparel sector, he insisted on creating a global recognized textile brand for India. He said that readymade costumes have immense possibilities. We have the possibility of surveying the world market and reaching there.
Large population needs work
Yogi emphasized the need to provide direction and opportunity to India’s large workforce. He said that a large population needs work, but they should be someone who shows the way. He also highlighted the importance of Uttar Pradesh as a major consumer market. He said that Uttar Pradesh meets the needs of a large population of neighboring areas not only within the state but also within the state but also in neighboring areas like Nepal, Bhutan, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand. Yogi underlined the importance of setting up extensive features including sewing, dyeing, printing, packaging and designing within the PM Mitra Park to meet the market demands.
Registration of more than three lakh youth
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that under the ‘Youth Entrepreneur Development Campaign’, more than three lakh young entrepreneurs have been registered and loans have been approved to more than 32 thousand youth. Under the Chief Minister Youth Entrepreneur Yojana Development Campaign (CM-Youva) in UP, the government is placing an interest-free loan to start a business of up to five lakh rupees to the beneficiary.
