Arya has been accused of allegedly having close relations with the Government of India. This information is given in a local media report. Citing a source, the news of the ‘Globe and Mail’ said that when there was tension between Canada and India, Arya did not inform the Canadian government about its visit to India. He visited India in August last year and met Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The news said that the Liberal Party never explained why it stopped the three -time MP from contesting the recent leadership of the party or in the Napian constituency. Chandra Arya dismisses allegations

Arya dismissed the allegations that he was under India’s influence.
