According to the 2021 census, the number of Hindus in Canada is more than 8 lakhs, which is about 2.3 percent of the total population of the country. In 2001, this number was around 3 lakhs, which makes it clear that the Hindu population has increased in the last two decades. The main reason for this increase is the increase in the number of Indian migrants, who are settling in Canada for studies, jobs and business.
