New Delhi. The Waqf Amendment Bill will be introduced in the Lok Sabha at 12 noon tomorrow. Minority Welfare and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju will present the Waqf Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has fixed 8 hours to discuss the Waqf Amendment Bill. The opposition was demanding 12 hours of discussion. In the meeting of leaders of all the parties of the Lok Sabha, the Lok Sabha Speaker, however, said that with the permission of the House, the time of discussion on the Waqf Amendment Bill can be increased. In this regard, Minister Kiren Rijiju said that the government wants discussion on the Waqf Amendment Bill. He also targeted the opposition.
Kiren Rijiju told the news channel Aaj Tak that if someone wants to run away from the discussion by creating an excuse, wants to walkout, then we cannot stop it. Kiren Rijiju said that the Parliament session is till 4 April. From there, the Waqf Amendment Bill has to be passed. Therefore, time will have to be given in Rajya Sabha as well. Kiren Rijiju described the Waqf Amendment Bill as very good. He said that after introducing the bill in Parliament, it would be recorded in the record of who supported the Waqf Amendment Bill and who opposed. Kiren Rijiju said about the opposition that if the Waqf modification is nothing to speak on the bill, do not make excuses and speak openly.
Kiren Rijiju had earlier targeted the opposition directly on Monday. He had said that the opposition, including the Congress, is misleading Muslims by lying on the issue of Waqf Amendment Bill. Regarding Muslim organizations and leaders opposing the Waqf Amendment Bill, Kiren Rijiju had said that those who have occupied the wealth of crores are opposing it. Apart from Kiren Rijiju, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has also said the same thing. Amit Shah had said that the Muslim community is being implicated on the Waqf amendment bill. Shah had said that not a single property of Waqf is going to take away the Modi government. In such a situation, now there is a possibility of strong confrontation between the Modi government and the opposition in the Lok Sabha and then the Rajya Sabha.
