According to the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) report, AI is no longer a emerging trend. It is a game-changer for the agriculture and healthcare sector of India.
In the healthcare industry, AI has the ability to reaches medical access and affordability.
There is a shortage of doctors in India, the doctor-to-positive ratio is 1: 900, and non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are responsible for 66 percent of deaths in the country.
The report states that AI-operated diagnostics can make healthcare more efficient, which can reduce diagnostic reporting time in radiology by 46 percent.
AI-managed solutions have also helped reduce the cost of mammography by 66 percent and made the diagnosis of tuberculosis (TB) significantly more economical.
With the expansion of telemedicine and AI-assisted investigation, millions of people in rural India can now use quality healthcare from far away.
BCG managing director and partner Siddharth Madan said, “AI is changing India with its innovative solutions, which is bringing revolution in all areas, especially healthcare and agriculture.”
For example, AI is giving a new look to India’s healthcare by making the diagnosis more smart, fast and more accessible to care.

85 percent of Indian farmers manage small land holdings and are dependent on rainfall, so AI-managed solutions can help customize farming methods.
AI-Purd Crop Monitoring and problem detection has seen an increase of up to 8 percent in agricultural productivity. This technique is also improving the post -harvest logistics, reducing the waste of food items and increasing the profits of farmers by up to 7 percent.
Additionally, AI-competent exact farming techniques are helping to reduce the use of water and fertilizer by 28 percent, making agriculture more sustainable and cost effective.
The report states, “Ethical AI regime is important to ensure data security and proper access to AI-operated solutions.
Public-private partnership will play a major role in promoting innovation, while scalable AI pilots will help refine technology applications in real-world scenarios. “
