India runs Operation Brahma
India has sent 31 tonnes of relief material to help people affected by earthquakes in Myanmar. It also includes essential items for the ‘Field Hospital’ of the Indian Army. This assistance was sent from ‘C-17 GlobeMaster’. In this regard, a senior official said that the aircraft flew from Hindon Air Force Station in Ghaziabad on Sunday morning. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar posted on the social media forum ‘X’ and also shared some pictures. He wrote in the post, “The C-17 aircraft left for Mandley with 31 tonnes of human assistance under” Operation Brahma “, including the goods required for the Field Hospital unit of the Indian Army.”

More than 3,000 people died due to 7.7 magnitude earthquake in Myanmar last week. India started a relief campaign called ‘Operation Brahma’ after the devastation caused by the earthquake. Meanwhile, the Indian Navy spokesperson said that ‘INS Gharial’ reached Yangon on Saturday morning with 442 tonnes of rice, including 405 tonnes of rice. He said that Indian Ambassador Abhay Thakur handed over relief material to Yangon Chief Minister U Soi Thein. The Indian Embassy in Myanmar has also shared photographs related to this.

Sharing the pictures, the Indian Embassy in Myanmar wrote, ‘Our Field Hospital has been highly praised in Myanmar, where 800 patients have been admitted so far. Senior General Min Aung Hurling visited it today. A IAF C17 brought food and food assistance to the needy communities, and withdrew our NDRF team after a successful mission.
