Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has described the Waqf Act as ‘the beginning of a new era’. Shekhawat, who reached Jodhpur on Sunday, said that this law will pave the way for justice for the poor Muslims of the country, who have been suffering from misuse and corruption of Waqf properties till now.
Talking to reporters, Shekhawat said that a few select people are using millions of acres of land which has been declared Waqf property. This land was donated for the benefit of poor Muslims, but they could not get any benefit from it. Now transparency will come through this law and corruption will stop. Shekhawat said that it is opposing it only those whose personal interests are being affected by this, but the common Muslim of the country is welcoming this law.

Speaking on the establishment of the BJP and the journey so far, Shekhawat said that the party was formed with a specific objective and goal. Since 1980, the Bharatiya Janata Party is traveling from poverty to richness on the strength of the hard work of its workers. Shekhawat further said that today the BJP is not only the largest political party in the world, but is also running the government at the Center with an absolute majority for the third consecutive time under the leadership of Narendra Modi. This is the result of the hard work of our dedicated workers. He also greeted the countrymen on Ram Navami. He said that the life of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram and each of his work is a source of inspiration for all of us.
