Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina
Sheikh Hasina Statement: Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said, “Allah has kept me alive for some reason”, and “the day will come” when the members of the Awami League will be brought into the dock of justice. Sheikh Hasina came to India in August last year when the student movement in Bangladesh became violent. Hasina made this comment when she was talking to family members of her party leaders on social media.
Hasina targeted Yunus
Sheikh Hasina targeted Muhammad Yunus, the chief advisor of the interim government in Bangladesh. Hasina described Younus as “a person who never loved people.” Hasina said that Younus borrowed small amounts at high interest rates and used that money to live in a great way abroad. He said that we could not understand his bogus then, so we helped him a lot. Yunus did well for himself, then the craving for power was born which is now burning Bangladesh.
Bangladesh changed in ‘terrorist country’
77 -year -old Hasina said that Bangladesh, seen as a model of development, has now turned into a ‘terrorist country’. “Our leaders and activists are being killed in such a way that cannot be described in words. Awami League, police, lawyers, journalists, artists are all being targeted.”
‘Allah has saved me’
The former Prime Minister accused the media of clamping down in Bangladesh. He said, “Rape, murder, robbery, nothing can be reported. If reported, the TV channel or newspaper will be targeted.” Recalling the terrible murders of his entire family including his father and the first President of Bangladesh, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, he said, “I lost my father, mother, brother, everyone in a single day. I know the pain of losing my people. Allah has saved me, perhaps he wants to do something good through me. Those who have committed the crime should be punished.
There will be justice in Bangladesh
During the conversation, family members of the killed Awami League activists and leaders recalled the atrocities with him. During this, Hasina said, “They are not humans, they will have to face justice. Allah will not tolerate it.” When a woman told how her father was murdered, Hasina replied, “There will be justice, we will find them, the day will come, I believe it, otherwise I wouldn’t be alive.”
‘I am coming’
When a supporter asked how he was, Sheikh Hasina replied, “I am alive, son.” Another supporter told him, “Allah should give you opportunity again.” He replied, “He will do. So Allah has kept me alive. I am coming.”
Yunus government wants to extradite Sheikh Hasina
Let me tell you that the interim government of Bangladesh is trying to extradite Sheikh Hasina. In the meeting during the BIMSTEC summit, Mohammad Yunus asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the extradition request situation. The Bangladesh leader also told Prime Minister Modi that Sheikh Hasina is making “inflammatory comments” in the media and “trying to destabilize the situation in Bangladesh”.
