The wife says that her husband beats her for dowry and has a relationship with another woman. The woman has been admitted to the hospital, where she is being treated. The condition is said to be out of danger. The case is from Sardhana police station area of Meerut, where Jyoti, a resident of Gotka village, was married 2 years ago to Vikas, a resident of Nahali village. Both also have a year old child. Jyoti alleges that she had the second wedding anniversary on Sunday. In the morning, when she went to wake her husband, she misbehaved with her and forcibly poisoned her.
Husband gave poison
When the condition worsened, he was admitted to the government hospital in Sardhana, from where the condition deteriorated, he was referred to the district hospital in Meerut. Jyoti is undergoing treatment here. On receiving the information, people from the maternal side also reached there. A police complaint has been lodged on behalf of Jyoti’s family. In which it is written that Jyoti was married to Vikas on 12/5/2022. 15 lakh rupees were spent in the wedding, but the in -laws were not happy with the wedding items. He used to beat Jyoti. The in -laws pressured Jyoti to bring a Swift car and two lakh rupees cash in dowry.
Married two years ago
According to the complaint, on 12/5/2024, at around 9:00 am, Jyoti was assaulted and forced to be given a poisonous substance with the intention of killing her, which made her condition critical. Someone called the police on number 112 and the police reached the spot. Then she brought Jyoti to the police station from where she was sent to the hospital for treatment. Seeing the seriousness of Jyoti’s condition, the doctors of the government hospital referred him to the district hospital in Meerut. Sardhana police station in -charge Pratap Singh says that a case has been registered on the basis of the complaint. The husband has also been taken into custody. However, the husband says that the woman got angry and ate poison herself.
