Jodhpur. An inspiring program was organized on Monday to commemorate the 134th birth anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, a great thinker and constitution -maker Babasaheb, who struggled for social justice, equality and human rights. On this occasion, electric wheelchairs were distributed to the needy of scooty and muscular durables from Sursagar MLA fund. Sursagar MLA Devendra Joshi, who was present as the chief guest on the occasion, said that Baba Saheb’s birth anniversary is not just a date, but a symbol of social consciousness, equality and inspiration of rights.
He said, “Today, when we are providing scooty and electric wheelchairs to the disabled, we are taking a concrete step towards realizing that dream of Babasaheb, in which every citizen gets the right to live a respectful and self -sufficient life.” MLA Joshi said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, the Rajasthan government is committed to the welfare of all sections of the society. Such schemes for the disabled promotes social inclusion and connect them to the mainstream.
He said that such events also strengthen the feeling of sensitivity and cooperation in the society. A large number of distinguished guests, social workers, local citizens and beneficiaries were present in the program. At the end of the event, the attendees paid tribute to Babasaheb’s ideals and his social contribution to him.
