Hargobind Das and Chandan Das were killed in the violence on April 10 and 12 in Murshidabad district. Both are father and son in the relationship. Now the Bengal Police has apprehended 2 accused in this case. His names are Kalu Nadab and Dildar Nadab. Police arrested one of the accused from Birbhum and another accused from Bangladesh border.

There were violent protests against Waqf law in Murshidabad, North 24 Parganas, Hooghly and Malda districts of West Bengal. Many people say that if the BSF moves, the situation may deteriorate from back, so they want to have a permanent deployment of BSF.
