Tonk. The District Special Team (DSS), formed to control crimes like illegal drugs, illegal gravel mining and gambling in the district, was spotted on Sunday. A total of 10 members, including the team’s in -charge Hariman Meena, have been removed under this action. Superintendent of Police Vikas Sangwan has recently taken this action on the basis of continuous complaints about the working style of the team. It is being told that some members of the DST team were accused of collusion with people involved in illegal business.
The investigation of this case has been handed over to Niwai DSP Mrityunjay Mishra. According to police sources, the team is also accused of hiding several activities from high officials.
The DST was formed for the purpose of preventing organized crimes in the district, but in recent times its functioning was being questioned. After action against the team, discussions about this subject are going on between the police department and the public.
