Kotputli-Bahrod. The Madhan police station of District Kotputli-Bahrod, in a major action, has arrested the history-sheeter Arun alias Arjun, who has threatened to demand a ransom of Rs 10 lakh from the Mahant of Shri Siddha Seva Dham Madhan. The accused was absconding for a long time and several serious criminal cases have been registered against him in various police stations. Superintendent of Police Rajan Dushyant (IPS) said that a special campaign is being carried out against crimes related to ransom, robbery, robbery and property in the district. In the same sequence, a special team was formed under the leadership of Thanadikari Ramkishore Sharma under the direction of Additional Superintendent of Police Shalini Raj (RPS) and Bahrod Kritika Yadav (RPS). The team arrested accused Arun alias Arjun son Ramnivas alias Lalaram, caste Ahir, age 30 years, resident Madhan on Sunday, based on the information of the informer.
Mahant Anil Purohit of Shri Siddha Seva Dham Madhan had lodged a report at the police station that he was constantly getting threats. The accused was demanding Rs 10 lakh from them and was warning to kill her for not paying the money. Mahant also told that the accused is the kingpin of a crook gang and has created an atmosphere of fear in the area. There are several serious cases registered against the accused, including murder and is currently on bail in the murder case.
Apart from the Madhan police station, the arrested accused Arun has a total of 10 criminal cases registered in Kund, Khol and Ateli police stations of Haryana. The police have started research by registering a case against the accused under case number 60/2025 under Section 308 (4) and 351 (2) of BNS. The police is now looking for his other associates.
Police say that this action is an important step towards curbing the increasing organized crime in the area.
