New Delhi. India has sent the second batch of BrahMos missile to the Philippines. India has sent supersonic cruise missiles through sea route. In the year 2022, there was a 2800 crore defense deal between India and the Philippines, under which the BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles have been delivered. Earlier last year, the first batch of BrahMos was transported by India. At that time missiles were transported through transport aircraft of Indian Air Force. This is considered an important step in view of India’s increasing exports in the defense sector.
The range of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles with India to the Philippines is 290 km. 2.8 It has the ability to penetrate the target at the speed of Mac. This is the largest export in the defense sector for India. The Philippines is the first country to buy BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles. The BrahMos supersonic cruise missile can be launched from various platforms such as land, sea, submarine and aircraft that make its operations easily. 21 soldiers from the Philippines have also been trained in India to operate the BrahMos missile system. The Philippines will use these missiles to protect its marine border.
The Philippines will use this missile system in its Marine Corps Coastal Defense Unit. Apart from missiles, this entire system also includes mobile launchers, radar systems and command-end-control units. This will lead to a tremendous increase in the Philippines’ monitoring of its maritime border and response capacity. At the same time, this will also affect China’s aggressive activities with the Philippines and will maintain a balance in the sea border area. After this deal, India has now become not only the importer of the defense sector but also an exporter. In the coming time, India can also export big defense to some other countries.
