Us Vice President Jaipur Visit: US Vice President JD Vance is currently on his four -day visit to India. He is accompanied by his Indian -origin wife Usha Chilukuri and three children are also involved in this visit. After reaching Delhi on Sunday, on Monday evening, he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Earlier, the Vance family also visited the Akshardham temple and also revealed respect to Indian culture.
Vines reached Jaipur on Tuesday, where he shared views on Indo-US relations during an event in Amer. He said, “India and America have a lot to share with each other. We have come here not to preach, but for the purpose of partnership.” Vance also said that the US administration in the past often sees India as a cheap labor market, and also criticized Prime Minister Modi’s government. But now the approach has changed. He said, “Prime Minister Modi is undoubtedly one of the most popular leaders in the democratic world, and we are looking for a respectable and equal participation with India.”
In his speech, Vance appreciated the policies of former US President Donald Trump, saying the Trump administration has protected American values and history. He said, “We also want to respect our culture, history and traditions, and want to make a business agreement with mutual profit with our friendly countries.” Vance’s visit is taking place at a time when there is a possibility of giving a new direction to strategic, business and cultural relations between the two countries.
JD Vance said, “It is appropriate that India is hosting the summit of Quad leaders this year. Our interests in independent, open, peaceful and prosperous Hind-Pacific region are fully aligned.
