The daughter of a Pune businessman, who was killed in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, has claimed that the terrorists targeted them after asking the male tourists to their religion.
Officials said two businessmen Santosh Jagdale and Kaustubh Ganbote, two traders from Pune in Maharashtra, were shot in the attack on Tuesday, after which he died.
According to officials, about 26 people were killed by militants on Tuesday in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, most of whom were tourists. Many others were injured in this attack.
Jagdale was part of the five -member group, including his wife Pragati, daughter Asavari, Kaustubh Ganbote and Sangeeta Ganbote, who went to Pahalgam on Tuesday.
Human resource professional 26-year-old Asavari in Pune told ‘PTI-language’ that his father and uncle were shot by terrorists at ‘Mini Switzerland’ located in the desperate valley. He said, “Many tourists were present there, but the terrorists specifically targeted male tourists and asked them whether they were Hindus or Muslims.”
Asavari said that his family went to this beautiful place to celebrate holidays. He heard the sound of firing by people descending from the nearby hill.
Asavari said that the firing people were wearing clothes like local police.
Asavari said, “We immediately hid in a nearby tent for security. Six-seven other (tourists) also reached there. We all lay down on the ground to avoid firing. We then felt that there was an encounter between terrorists and security personnel. ”He said that the group of terrorists first came to a nearby tent and started firing.
Asavari said, “After this he came in our tent and asked my father to come out.” Asavari said, “The terrorists said that Chaudhary you come out.”
He said that the terrorists accused his father of supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and denied that Kashmiri terrorists kill innocent people, women and children.
Asavari said, “Then he asked my father to recite a verse of Islam (possibly Kalma). When he could not hear, he fired three bullets on my father. He shot my father’s head, behind the ear and in the back. “He said,” My uncle was next to me. The terrorists fired four to five bullets at him. ‘
Asavari said that the terrorists opened fire on several other men present on the spot. He said that there was no one to help, no police or army. He said that the police and army reached the spot 20 minutes after the incident. He said, “Even local people were reading Islamic verses.”
Asavari said, “Those who brought us to the ponies helped three women, including my mother, my mother. After this our medical examination was conducted and then we were transferred to Pahalgam Club. ”
