Pope Francis died
Vatican City: Pope Francis will be given a final farewell today. The funeral of the Pope will be held at St. Peters Square, located in the Vatican City. National President from all over the world has reached Vatican to attend this funeral ceremony. More than two lakh people are expected to attend the funeral.
Pope made many improvements
Francis had also shown his wish about his funeral ceremony while changing the traditions and customs of the Vatican last year. Vatican said that his purpose was to show the Pope’s role as only a pastor, not as a powerful person in this world. Francis made radical improvements during his tenure as the Pope, emphasizing the priests being servants. He started working in this direction only a few days after his selection in 2013.

The Pope’s funeral is attended by India President Draupadi Murmu, US President Donald Trump, French President Emmanuel Macron, United Nations Chief and European Union leader, Rajkumar William and the royal family of Spain. The Archbishop, who oversees Basilica, said on Friday that Pope Francis had expressed his desire to be buried in ‘St. Mary Major Basilica’. Francis died on Monday. He was 88 years old. (AP)
