The company has increased the price of milk from Wednesday. Giving information on Tuesday, a spokesman for Mother Dairy said that Mother Dairy has had to amend the consumer price of its milk up to Rs 2 per liter from April 30, 2025. This price amendment has become necessary due to a significant increase in procurement costs, which has increased by Rs 4-5 per liter in the last few months.
Know the new price
After the amendment of prices, now the price of 1 liter bulk vended milk (toned milk) has now increased from Rs 54 to Rs 56. The price of 500 ml premium full cream milk has increased from Rs 38 to Rs 39. Similarly, the price of 1 liter full cream milk has increased from Rs 68 to Rs 69. You will now have to buy 500 ml milk of this for Rs 35 in lieu of Rs 34.
The price of 1 liter toned milk has increased from Rs 56 to Rs 57. The price of 500 ml toned milk has increased from Rs 28 to Rs 29. Similarly, the price of one liter double toned milk has increased from Rs 49 to Rs 51. The price of its 500 ml has now increased from Rs 25 to Rs 26.
New price of cow’s milk
The price of 1 liter cow milk has increased from Rs 57 to Rs 59. The price of 500 ml cow’s milk has increased from Rs 29 to Rs 30.
The main reason for increasing prices
The spokesperson further stated that the increase in procurement values was mainly due to the onset of summer and the status of heatstroke. This amendment shows only a partial part of the increased cost, which aims to serve the interests of both farmers and consumers equally.
