According to the Xinhua News Agency, this discovery can improve the vaccine’s strategy and may be needed in future. This study has been conducted by the Garvan Institute of Australia and Kirbi Institute (University of New South Wales).
Research published in the journal ‘Cell’ found that when both doses are given on the same side, the cells fighting the diseases of the body (which are in the nearby lymph nodes) are already prepared. By giving the second dose there, these cells become active immediately and make strong antibodies.
Researchers first saw this effect in mice. He then conducted a study on 30 people, who had a Phikar’s Kovid-19 vaccine. In this study, he found that those who had both the doses of the vaccine on the same side were rapidly and more protection, especially from different variants of Covid-19 such as Delta and Omikron.
