Today, the Congress Working Committee (CWC) passed a resolution on the barbaric terror attack on 22 April in Pahalgam. The Congress said that the Congress Working Committee is standing with solidarity and condolences with 26 families who lost their loved ones in the barbaric terror attack in Pahalgam. The pain of these families is the pain of the entire nation. The Congress Working Committee stands with them not only in words, but with permanent solidarity.
No time to do politics- Congress
He further said that the whole country is waiting for accountability, clarity and justice today. In view of this unforgivable and provocative attack, the Indian National Congress believes that it is not a time to do politics, this is the moment when the country should show solidarity, perseverance and national resolve. We have to rise above political differences and give a clear message that India is united and under any circumstances its unity cannot be weakened.
Government should isolate and punish Pakistan
Further, the Congress said that this is the time to show our national resolve so that we can teach Pakistan a lesson and decidely curb terrorism. The conspirators and criminals of this cowardly attack should bear full consequences of their acts. The Congress party urges the Government of India to work with strength, strategic clarity and international coordination, so that Pakistan can be isolated and punished on the global platform for its continuous efforts to spread terror in our country.
Further, the Congress also demanded from the government that the victim families should be given moral and institutional assistance for a long time. Only compensation is not enough, long -term rehabilitation, mental health assistance, and the memory of the martyrs alive at the national level through respect and civil memory is equally necessary.

Questioning the government further, the Congress said that CWC reiterates its former demand to fix this incident in this country as a serious lapse in security, considering this incident as a serious lapse in security. The people of the country should get transparency and accountability, it is their right. The committee appeals to all citizens to maintain peace, unity and resolution. Our response to this terrorist act, the strength of our democracy, the depth of our unity and the perseverance of our Republic should be a symbol.
