Patna, May 2 (IANS). Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai on Friday supported the statement of Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the Pahalgam attack. In addition, he rejected the claim of opposition parties in which he described the caste census as a result of his pressure and said that it is a historic decision taken under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
On Amit Shah’s statement on the Pahalgam attack, Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai said, “Home Minister Amit Shah has said that the terrorists will be given a fleeing reply, then our Prime Minister Narendra Modi also gave a clear message to the world from the land of Madhubani of Bihar that we will not leave the terrorists nor spare their bosses.”
On the claims of the opposition on the caste census, he said that the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken a historic decision that the upcoming census will include caste census. This decision will be a strong foundation to spread social justice and development to those who should benefit from it. Congress and RJD have so far done politics in the name of caste census. I want to ask Congress, Lalu Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav that when you were in power with the Congress at the Center for years, why did you not get the caste census done?
He said that the opposition had conducted a survey, which he calls caste census, but it was just a survey, which cannot become the basis of census. The Congress and RJD government did not even publish it. His intention was never to bring the welfare or development of the poor to the needy. These people wanted the people of the country to be illiterate and poor, so that their lies and confusion would continue. These people indulged in familism, earning money through corruption and scams and trying to maintain power. He was neither concerned with the welfare of the poor nor from social justice nor the development of the country. Now the census under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, there will be a true caste census in the true sense. On September 18 last year, the Home Minister had clarified that when the Central Government announced regarding the census, the situation will be completely clear.
On the recent statement of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, Nityanand Rai said that Lalu Yadav and his people neither wanted caste census in their policy nor were it serious for it. He only kept doing false politics. He questioned why the former Chief Minister of Bihar did not conduct caste census while in power at the Center with the Congress for years? He said that people of the opposition only do cheating.
